A fascinating collection of over 60 vintage tractors and machinery from all over the world.
Most of the collection has been restored to excellent working condition, after having served the farming community in the state of Western Australia from the early 1900's.
This extensive working collection was the dream of founder Hugh Manning, a local pastoralist who was an avid collector of agricultural machinery and tractors since the 1960s. He and his many friends got together and, with sponsorship from Alcoa of Australia and the Serpentine/Jarrahdale Shire, land was made available in Wellard Street.
An army of volunteers jumped in - site works, sand carting, landscaping, steam cleaning and restoration got started - and the museum opened in September 1993.
In 1994, the Museum won the Australia Day Award for 'Community Event of the Year' for preserving our rural past for future generations.
Every third Sunday of the month is Tractor Start Up Day.
