Lake Navarino (Waroona Dam) is also used extensively for recreational activities such as water skiing and freshwater fishing. If you own a ski boat or wake boat and you love getting wet, then bring your family down for a weekend of camping and fun. Jet skis are allowed if you are towing a skiier. Lakeside Camping permitted (unpowered sites, a fee applies). This is a basic bush camping area with "eco loos" only, but lovely lakeside aspect.

The Waroona Dam was completed in 1966. The reservoir known as Lake Navarino covers an area of 145 hectares with its primary use being irrigation. It is also used extensively for recreational activities such as water skiing, wakeboarding, freshwater fishing (trout & marron in season and with license), and also canoeing and kayaking. There are great facilities at Lake Navarino/Waroona Dam including picnic tables, barbecues and toilets.??The surrounding forest provides beautiful displays of wildflowers in season. Bush walking is a popular pastime for many visitors and part of the old Bibbulmun Track is still in existence and has been reopened for public use as part of the Munda Biddi Trail. Dogs on leash are permitted. Located ten minutes east of Waroona, Lake Navarino has a holiday park with on-site accommodation plus the lakeside camping area. During late winter, Waroona Dam often overflows creating an amazing spectacle.
