Langford Park Bridle Trail
Details
Langford Park is the focal area for a 20km bridle trail that showcases the changing character of the jarrah forest in this section of the Darling range.
Once a bauxite mine which has now been rehabilitated, Langford Park has a horsefloat parking area.
Langford Park, off Nettleton Road, is 2.5 kms from Jarrahdale and 16kms from Byford.
The trail winds 20km through the jarrah forest and is made of gravel, so is suitable for ridden horses as well as horses in harness.
There are some steep gradients along the route, and care should be taken as vehicles and mountain bikes also use the route.
Several small creeks seasonally flow west to where there are views across the farmlands to the coastal plain and south over the expanse of forest.
