A fun, family friendly cross country loop on the outskirts of Dwellingup.

The track passes through Jarrah forest and is mainly flat with a few gradual hills.

The Marrinup Cycle Trail is a purpose built 8km single track suitable for both the novice and the experienced rider.

The course can be shortened to about 4km using the short course return route. The trail starts and finishes at the old Marrinup townsite and is rated moderate to easy with gentle short uphills and gentle downhills.

The local area is rich in flora and fauna with jarrah, marri, blackbutt as well as the distinctive zamia palm and balga (black boy).

You may also catch sight of the western grey kangaroo along with reptiles and forest floor birds.

A slight detour from the track takes you to the site of the unique WWII No 16 P.O.W. Camp Marrinup. This camp held around 200 German and hundreds more Italian prisoners.

Footing remains of many of the buildings as well as the remains of a flower garden bordered by rocks in the shape of the four card suites. 

There are toilets at Marrinup as well as BBQ, tables and camping areas should you wish to stay overnight.
